What is the best website to learn about firearms (handguns mostly)? I need a good handguns for dummies website... Thanks...

Also, what are thoughts on a Beretta .45 px4 storm?

I have gotten a LOT of information here on this forum. The natives are friendly and eager to help one learn. I have never been laughed at for any basic questions and there is always someone who is very willing to help. I think you are at the right place.

This site is one of the best I've found. There are several members on this site who have forgotten more about firearms than I'm likely to ever know.

Here are some other sites I'd recommend...

NRA

Down Range TV - Guns, Personal Defense and Shooting Sport.

Personal Defense How-To Videos, Articles | PDN

nutnfancy's Channel - YouTube

As for the Beretta, I don't care for them; but that has nothing to do with the quality of the gun. Guns are a very personalized choice. They will all fit and shoot differently. This is a good thing because everyone is going to want something different.

For myself if I'm looking for a composite handgun, I'll look at the Springfield XDm and Rugers.

Go put your hands on as many different pistols as you can, and you'll find something that fits you.

Another good idea is to go to a gun range and rent a couple firearms and see if someone can help you shoot before deciding on what gun to purchase

You will, as have I in the beginning, learn a great deal from these members who are profoundly knowledgeable in firearms.

I found this to be a good compendium of firearm & SD use information for beginners. It’s not anything you can’t find all over the web, but it’s nice to have so much of it in one place. Below is the link is the ‘Contents’ page:

Cornered Cat

I don’t anything will happen to if you read it and you’re not a woman. If you’re not and something does happen, please post something about it.
