What type of flashlight do you guys use? In my conceal carry class, they highly recommend having a flashlight next to your bed for home defense. IMO, a really bright flashlight with a strobe/pulse feature would be ideal in the case that a bad guy comes in your home at night and the strobe would really screw up his natural night site.

Offbrand CREE LED from eBay. It's bright and has a strobe effect. I think it cost $20. Works every time. My only complaint is it may be a tad too short.

Ruger has an alarm / pepper spray / strobe light combo. Seems more suited to people who want to carry something other than a gun, but would still be good to have at your beside IMO.

I have one flashlight on my gunsafe. It is a 4 cell mag light. I also have a tac light on my night stand that has a strobe feature...............thanks to my Secret Santa.

Rechargeable LED Mag-Light stays on the charger on the wall beside the bed and a Tac light strobe light in my basket on the night stand. Also a remote control for the light in the hallway leading up to my bedroom.

Here is mine. Streamlight TLR-1s 160 lumens, strobe. Fits an a ton of different rail configurations and can be carried alone, has a quick on and off the rail feature no tools needed.
Any brighter than this and I would blind myself from the reflection indoors….and outside it shines as bright as I could ever want.
