Beat me. Go Ahead.
So I'm out running the insanely accurate Hi Point at the club. I'm loving the pop of my affordable ammo, and the feel of my inexpensive tackdriver, and FTF happens.

Take her home, clean her up, back out.

Same thing.

Now before the verbal lynching starts, this is the deal.

Only seems to do this on the last round, or second to last round.

The round seems damn near vertical in the chamber when it occurs. Easily cleared, but it seems like a magazine issue more than a gun issue. I replace the round, try again, no problem.

Sgt. Miller suggested some mods back when I bought it, and I'll definitely be doing those, just wanted to run it for awhile, first.

Whatcha think?

A possible magazine issue?

The main function issue with Hi-Points are the cheap mags. The spring is weak and the metal is thin. I have no idea how to better the function of the mags.

I, too love my hi-point. But the magazines can be real crappy. I had a similar problem, and jsut bought two new magazines.

That seems to have fixed the problem.

My thinking as well.

Any better after market mags out there?

If there are any aftermarket mags for Hi-Points, I've never seen them.

I think your problem is that the mags are too new. Try keeping them loaded for a few days. The spring is putting too much force on the last round, making it canted in the chamber. They just need broken in and they will run. I bet if your only load 7 rounds it will run great.

I would probably say its the mag aswell.
