I've often heard it referenced for black powder guns where it seems to shine. I've yet to hear about it being used for cartridge firearms.

I've used it a couple of times on various 1911's. It seem to have the same characteristics of gun oil.
For sometime use, it is okay, but I won't use it on a regular basis.

Default smart choice

I use ballistol and its a great product to use. It lubes, cleans, protects all in one. You can throw out all the other bottles and just use one. Im not saying that there arent other good stuff out here but, trust me, ballistol is pound for pound the best around. I use it on my glock and i used it on my kel-tec before i sold it. No complaints here, you wont be disappointed

It does a great job, but stinks to high heaven!
