Default Aquired A Part Of Unofficial History

My birthday so I opened up Gun Broker to see how much micheff I could get into.

I found a Remington Fireball w/ a Burris 3x scope and mount.

Some folks may reconize this as being an unofficial part of history the very first year it was introduced.

My flavor is .221 Remington. Round is traveling around 2800 fps or higher with a chamber pressure rated at 52000 psi.

I don't know what I'm looking at here and I would like to know the history of this gun.

Some history- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remington_XP-100

Re: Hollows- remove action from stock. You will see 5 hollow spaces in the forearm. Each one will hold a 130 gr .357 bullet- nose down. Permits you to adjust the balance to your liking.

Google Remington xp-100 owner's manual, and Remington has it as a pdf file on line.
