Default Any other necked down cartridges?

The .357 Sig is a necked down .40 designed for similar ballistics to the .357 magnum. Are there any other necked down pistol cartridges, or is the Sig unique in this fashion?

Isn't the .256 Winchester a .357 necked down to .25? Briefly and not too successfully offered by S&W?

Gary Reeder (of Reeder Custom Guns) does do some bottlenecks of his own design. They include:
.356 GNR(.41 case necked to .357),
.41 GNR #1 (.44 case necked to .41), and
.41 GNR #2 (.445 supermag case necked to .41).

Hey Drum I'm the one who hijacked a serious, useful thread, heh.

Nothing over .38 cal is legal for target shooting here, (except for specific Single Action match comps where such evilness up to (eek) .45 is allowed) IPSC shooting is not "approved" for the larger calibres, for unstated reasons.

I just lol as the difference between them is really negligible - a distinction only a firearms-ignorant Govt bureaucrat plucking numbers outta the air could make

Makes as much sense as outlawing rifles which have pistol grips, which our government has done in the past. Government breeds stupidity.

Ok..I see now. I've not heard anything bad on the round and was curious about your thoughts on what made it evil. Leave it to the lawmakers to create evil in their own image I didn't see your post as a hijacking attempt. But possibly my asking about it might be...lol I have a tendency to ramble on and I know that can be derailing sometimes. I guess I need some more Ritalin Biscuits heh

I actually liek that
7.62X25mm Tokarev round. Though the pistols I've got to shoot them out of was not all that great.
