I have both the USP 9mm and 45ACP compact models, Var 1--they are my favorite pistols, never had either one malfunction. Don't have the 40S&W, but expect it is just as good. No better pistols made anywhere.

You're welcome--I'm saving up for a HK45 fullsize to go with my compacts. I'd love to have a P30 V3 some day also. And I wish they made a compact .380...

I've carried a P-2000 on duty for the past 5 years. Good weapon but nothing to shout about in my opinion. I'm just not that impressed with it, at least not over many others. The magazine release took a little to get used to with the push down rather than push in. Don't get me wrong it's a good weapon but I would rather have a Smith or Glock myself.

I have owned a couple of them and they're good solid guns. I'd never pay the new price for one though...

At about $800 they're a lot less than many name brand 1911s--not saying they're better or anything, but arguments could be made--it all comes down to personal preference. For me, the USP/HK45 V1 has the best decocker/safety of any gun I've ever shot, and has been the most reliable and accurate DA pistol I've owned. I will admit that I don't like the mag release, but I've gotten use to it.

No slight against HKs intended but I just can't see ANY polymer gun selling for the price of a new HK. They are very accurate and reliable and for the right price (or trade) I'd get another...

I have a P2000 and a P2000SK both with the LEM trigger and I have a P7M8 too. HK makes OUTSTANDING guns that are worth every penny I had to lay out for them.
The P2000(s) are 40S&W and will digest ANY ammo I put through them reliably and stupidly accurate. I normally run Winchester White Box bulk ammo 165gr. FMJ Target for training and I carry Federal 155gr HPs.
