Funny,I'm stoked with 124gr +p Golden Sabre too!
I chose it after I saw this-
9x19mm Remington 124gr +P Golden Saber JHP
It is fully functional and accurate in my Arcus Hi-Power clone!
But thats only in my primary mag.
In my 2 spares,I carry the evil Brit milsurp L7A1 124gr ball.1350 fps with a 124gr ball,is nothing to scoff at.

I suggest the totally pathetic 115 grain FMJ as loaded to SAAMI spec!
Post the results on Youtube, and make sure to share the link here,(or get the guy doing the shooting to do it for you, since you might be a little "preoccupied" in the ICU of the local hospital or in the morgue).
Still want to "take your chances"?
Anyway-
Choose a round that-
1.Functions well and is accurate in your gun.
2.Does not sacrifice penetration for any reason. It should at lest get 12" of penetration in any conventional ballistic gel test.
3.You are capable of shooting accurately and quickly.
If its capable of good penetration, and YOU are capable of good shot placement, thats all that matters in handgun ammo selection- everything else is an Internet argument of monumental pointless self aggrandizement and phallic measurement which has been going on,relentlessly and uselessly, since the internet was created by Al freakin Gore (lol).

I got an idea, you can shoot me with your 9mm and
I get to shoot you with my .45.
Let say 20 yards distance.
Have you ever been shot before? It ain't fun.

For 9mm I would go with the Winchester PDX1. From what I have been told by MANY and have read they are the best self defense round on the market. They replaced the black talons.

Your the one who thinks you can "take his chances" with the 9x19.
I never said anything about taking my chances with a .22 short, never mind anything else.
Personally,I don't have anything against either cartridge, and I love Brownings pistol designs.
Its just,in a thread where a guy asks for advice about 9x19,some pompous anus has to go all ridiculously 3rd grade on the poor guy,and tell him to get what they think is the best.
Now,how does this answer the guys question about his particular pistol?
How does this help this forum to be user friendly, respectful and helpful?
Now-your the guy that thinks he can take his chances getting shot with something he considers appropriate to troll other peoples threads about.
Put your money where your mouth is.
Or,please try to be more constructive and less childishly partisan.

PDX1 is the progeny of the "infamous" black talon.
AFAIK,it retains all the things that the Talon was good for, with modern updates like bonded cores.
Its a darn good load.
Of course, the evil bulletproof vest busting cop killing teflon coating has been omitted.
