Don't start dissing C3 about age- or I'll trip you with the cane, and run over you with the walker.

(and just how many of YOU have a Lead Sled mounted on a walker, hmmmm?)

Dude may have been trolling, may not, but i can't honestly say that i wouldn't leave the scene if the circumstances were bad enough. It would not be the most legal course of action, but sometimes the legal way isn't the smartest way. What if there were other people present, perhaps the shootee's meth-fueled family, who were VERY sympathetic to the other party in the shooting? What if those people voiced an interest in beating the legit self-defense shooter to death?

Obviously, a forum cannot advise someone to break the law, but i don't think you can deny that people can and do make that choice. Now, if a person takes proper care in their decision-making and uses a legal firearm in self defense, they should be able to survive the legal process that follows a legally justifiable self defense shooting without spending much time in jail or spending every penny they have on attorneys, should be able to.

If Bernie Goetz had not surrendered to police, and hadn't been identified, how much better off would he be today? Of course, he used a "illegal" firearm to defend himself from a group of assailants, so he had a big legal strike against him from the instant he defended himself.

Not saying it is the right thing to do or suggesting to anyone that they violate the laws in their area, but i can't really fault duder for his feelings.

Not leaving a finger print was my first impression but I knew a guy years ago that should have worn gloves to handle any of his brass, his sweat was so acidic that in just a matter of minutes the rifle brass he handed me had a green fingerprint on it. I wouldn't be surprised that if he dropped a round into the chamber with that strong of acid coming from his fingers that it could eat at the chamber wall. I doubt that this guy is still alive unless he changed his diet in a way to stop the heavy acidic sweating he seemed to continually have.
