You may be able to find a used Bersa .380 for $200-$250


Edit: Sorry, forgot about the "American made" part. Bersas are made in Argentina.

I have actually seen the occasional used Ruger P series or SW Sigma for about $200. I'd imagine that's as close to a perfect fit as the OP could ask for. But both are out there in abundance in excellent/used condition for under 300 bucks.

What about FN? I looked at a 9mm and .40 Cal the otherday. I liked them, but they are German I think?

FN's are great.

FN is from Belgium...with a great deal of U.S. manufacturing in many cases.

If you check out FN's website they make no bones about alot of their stuff being made in the USA. www.fnhusa.com

Yeah now that I think about it I think I remember seeing something on the .40 made in the U.S.A.

Yeah. I'm going through a similar thing man. But, I'm in Afghanistan right now and have had about 10 months to research this stuff. Decided that I wanted something made in the USA preferably by a US owned company. Guess we will see what the shop has available when I go on R&R. Right now I am leaning toward the Ruger SR40.
