The Ruger 1911 is getting more plentiful on Gunbroker for those of you tired of waiting.

I picked up my RIA tactical 9 mm at a $40 savings below local quote, even got the LGS's blessing as he did the transfer. I would have paid the extra 40 just to trade locally, but the distributor had the guns backordered.

I recently bought an SR1911 (about 2 weeks ago) from a LGS. They had one in the case and I've wanted one ever since they were announced. I was at the NRA Convention in Pittsburgh when Ruger first announced them and stood in line to examine and handle one. I was very impressed with the apparent quality of it. At present I have 4 Colt and 2 Springfield Armory 1911s, and now of course also the Ruger. I haven't yet shot the Ruger so I can't say how it compares.

They are pretty. Guess it's the Ruger name on the classic. And you can't really take shots at any Ruger product. Well, maybe with a Mini-14 but then you'd never hit it anyway, so...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Passing thru Ogden, Ut the other day. Stopped at the Riverdale Sportsmans Warehouse they had 3 of the SR 1911s on the rack. But being an old 1911 shooter I was more interested in all the new Colt 1911 pistols.

The shop I had it shipped to here said they've gotten 3 since they came out and sold all of those within the first day. And it's the first one that the shop that shipped it here has had in a little over two years. I'm just tickled to finally get it.
