i dont notice enough of a ""felt"" difference between 9mm and .40 in the exact same firearm,,, i dont know where you guys are getting this but the 9mm seems to have a much more violent recoil than the push of a 40 in the same frame,,, to me the .40 is more pleasant to shoot and even my 95lb wife enjoys my .40 more than her 9mm that she thought would be more comfortable to shoot,,, the only .40 that i ever owned that i didnt like was a tiny Khar PM40,, i hated that lil pistol

It really does not matter how fast a bullet comes out of a gun, you can't outrun it anyway.

I'll be the first to say I'm not even willing to stand in front of a daisy air rifle .

I won't voluntary stand in front if a paintball or air soft. I like to play paintball but I don't wanna he shot.

Got shot in the nuts when I went paintballing once. I'm wearing a cup next time.

I have carried
.45acp
.357 mag
.38 spec
9MM

on duty. Felt pretty well armed with all of them.

Given a choice, I'll stick to my SIG-Sauer P226, 9MM.

IMO, i thinktoo many people put an emphasis on caliber when accuracy is more important. the inability to hit your target due to the inability to control recoil or the lack of shooting skill due to practice. i gaurantee a ht with several 380's will trump misses from a 44 Mag anyday of the week.

practice with what you shoot for SD or carrying is my advice. shoot the largest you can hit accurately with, consistently. there is no substitute for proper practice on a regular basis.

I CC full size, but while I prefer the .45 for it's larger, slower

round, I also like the 9mm for the ammo capacity of a mag.

It's a nice feeling when you can fire off 8 rounds, and still have

10 in reserve, without dropping a mag.

Now, at home, it's nice to have a little 22LR. Just enough to

fight my way to my shotgun, but a lot easier on the lifestyle.

If you really want to cook numbers, the 22LR has killed more

than anything, right?
