I've got one, I recommend it highly. Comes with three 18-round mags.

It's got a captive recoil spring, swept trigger guard,1913 rail,

and removable backlit sights.

Bud's has the EAA SAR B6P 4.5" for $275 cash price + FFL. I got one from Davidson's in 11/2012 for $282 OTD. Or the EAA SAR B6PC 3.8" for about the same price.

I also have the Ruger SR9 & SR9c, Taurus 24/7 G2 9mm Standard. They're all excellent 9mm handguns.

What will this pistol be used for? If you said I must've missed it. If it's primarily a range gun then your choices are practically limitless. There are so many good 9mm's out there all you'll get is everybody's opinion based on what they own. OTOH if you're buying it for a CCW that narrows things down a bit. Of the ones you mentioned in your OP I can comment on the Glock and the M&P. I have a couple of Glocks and an M&P 40. I love the Glocks but for concealed carry there are better choices IMO. One of my Glocks is a G26. I actually think my M&P 40 is more comfortable to carry concealed than it is. The full size M&P 40 is actually slightly slimmer than the baby Glock 9mm, especially in the grip. You can hold the magazines up together and see a big difference. The G26 is a good bit lighter fully loaded but it still feels like you're stuffing a small brick into your waistband. And, although the Glock is relatively well deburred it's still boxy, which makes it more uncomfortable. The M&P is more streamlined and seems to blend in better with the curvature of my body. Now if the M&P 40 is more comfortable for concealed carry than a G26 just imagine what a G17 would be like. Of course if you're carrying OWB none of this makes much difference and it's pretty much flip a coin. Both are great pistols and it comes down to which one you shoot better.

9's we love to Own(and Do) You Can't go Wrong with any 92 Flavor! Have 3, Incl. a Taurus SS PT-92 Match,..Also if you can get used to the Safety the PX 4 in 4" isn't bad either. Also have the SR9, LC9 and an older P85 that Was Dad's last Duty Piece...have not shot the M&P, but have Older 3 Digit S&W's that are also good(4 & 5 series). Can't go wrong with the Old Standby, the Browning HP,... Starting to get interested In The SIGS,..but they are Pricey, and might wait until after i Get a 9MM 1911.. Whatever you decide on,..make sure you get at least one Ext. Hi cap for whatever you Buy before they are Totally Banned. CDNN has them All. If you want something a little Larger to carry In a small Back Pack,. A Cobray M-11, the MPA 9 and Mini 9(also MAC variants) or The Nitescout or LUSA's,.. Just please don't mention the G-word around me. I have Violent spasms when I hear it....;-)

Edit: I do not have a PX4, but have rented and shot one at the Range...next logical Step after the 92 Compact/M9A1 genre...

I own a Glock 19.
I looked at the 17 but the 19 just felt better in my hand.
I have also been looking at a Ruger SR9. I think it is a fine 9mm for the money.

Good to see you doing your homework. I like to start with how a gun feels in my hand and then research it's reviews if I like it. For example, while both great guns, the Gen 3 Glock fits in my hand better than the Gen 4. Just personal preference I guess.

One that I really like in my hand but haven't shot yet is the Walther PPX.

PPX is a nice gun for the money. PPQ is the cat's behind. IMO of course.

buy a 9mm. if you don't own one, it rounds out the collection. 9mm ammo can be found just about anywhere in many different types of ammo.

plus there is no shortage of pistols in 9mm. just about everyone that makes a pistol chambers something in 9mm.

Damm,..I asked you not to go there and you did! Now my Dog's Going to Gash his Gums on His Crate Door while I have a Spasm,..(jk'ing) :-) the Thing with 9MM ammo(and 40 & 38/357) is it's plentiful but you have to shop wisely! 18 months ago I had 600 Rds. of 9mm(500 Ball and 100 SD) and 600 of 38/357 totaled. Not Much by anyones std. Now we have about 3800 Total,..2200 9MM(1400 Ball & around 800 Asst, SD/HD) and about 1600 In 38/357(1000 Ball & 600+ SD/HD asst.) we shopped carefully during the worst of the shortage, and kept shooting, but not 100's of Rds. at a time,..and Like QG mentioned, we always grabbed some more to come home with from the Range. When we Shot outside 10 Days ago it wasn't cold Per say(for N.AZ.) low 50's and sunny,..but Breezy, so what should have been 2.5 to 3 Hrs. was cut to about 90 minutes, Plus as mentioned prior I had issues with the SR9 that Day....
I also Almost never shoot 45ACP, or 223/5.56, .30-06 or 308/7.62 anymore,.it's just too expensive to replace right now,...I'm Thinking about a 17HMR AR since that Ammo Is PLENTIFUL here, as Is 22Mag..(I'd Get an Excel Arms/Mitchel Arms Black Lighting 22Mag. AR if they weren't marked up to 1,000-1,100 Bucks........) Can't find a Kel-Tec PMR-30 Either...not for a normal price...CDNN sells EVERY Kel-Tec Pistol, plus the PLR 16 & 22 Carbine Pistols, and The SUb-2000 & SU-b-16 AR Carbine, all Cheap,..guess what they don't have....

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think the folks at the gun range will love me when I come in with a list about a mile long of guns to rent and shoot!
