This is only an opinion.

If you want to carry full-size, get a 9mm.

If you are looking for a CCW-sized pistol,

get a 380. Most seem specifically designed

for CC.

I carry a Glock 22 right now (.40 S&W). I'm going to a Glock 19 soon (9mm). I love my .40, but after 15 years of carrying it, it's time to move to the 9mm. Its a smaller frame and same number of rounds. Are the biggest reasons, but it will be a hard habit to break, plus there is a lot of prep that comes with a new full time carry bun that i'm really looking forward to...

Nine is fine but I don't carry one with the soft shooting ammo like some do. I like a +P loaded with 124 grain. I do find the Liberty USM4 ammo to be very interesting from the video testing I have seen. I now carry it in my small 9mm.

Believe 1/2 of what you see on youtube or read at best. I still prefer a 147gr HP in 9mm. My handloads. I always hear about intent to kill when it comes to using handloads. I don't care. If I walk away it is a good day. I also reload 135gr protected point expanding. I'm starting to gravitate towards them.

CZ SP-01 Phantom in a High Noon Down Under IWB rig with High Noon Rock Steady gunbelt. Yes, I carry this concealed in AZ heat.

i use the Speer GoldDot Short Barrel 124 gr. +P GDHP in my 9mm pistol. seems to work quite well as far functioning. it works, so i'll stick with it, as long as they keep making it. when they quit making it, i'll find another ammo that works!

NO CALIBER WARS!!!!!!!

I carry a H&K PSP P7 (9mm) at times, just as I carry a DW C-BOB in 10mm at times, or my Ed Brown Kobra Carry in .45.

Depending on circumstances, I may carry a .380, or a full size 1911.

Don't limit yourself to one firearm or one caliber for CC or SD.

Also, thanks to advances in technology, todays bullets are designed to function a certain way, so that whether it be 9, 40, 45, rhey will do the same job (penetration & expansion, etc). So caliber wars are indeed pointless. The real question is what works for you as an individual, finding a balance of many factors that include, but aren't limited to, concealability, power, accuracy, capacity. Reliabilty is #1 and non negotiable.
