I just got a Kel Tec 9mm. Bought it used because the price was right (150 for the pistol, holster and 50 federal hollowpoints), but even new its under 300. Nice and compact and feels good in your hand. The one downside (so far) with this gun is the range...wouldnt trust it over 20 paces or so, but that could be me---need some more range-time with this puppy I think it will be an excellent gun to carry for personal protection.
Well, the Glock 26 I just bought wasn't my first choice; it was the only choice other than Taurus. I love it, it is very accurate @ 10-20 yards. The magazine loader is a real plus with my arthritis!
to be honest, it should not be hard to find a certified pre-owned beretta 92 for around 400 duckits. I live in Tucson and the local police supply had like 2 of them for around 350 in almost brand new condition with 3 mags and a box. Sweet deal for a 9mm if u ask me!!! If it were my choice, id save up and get a sig p226 9mm which are sweet platforms and a pre owned one usually wont cost too much more then 600. I got a p226 equinox certified pre owned in .357sig/40 in almost perfect condition, 3 12 round mags and a 20 round mag all in a sig box for 685 dollas!!! Now its my carry piece.
