Default 629 vs .41

I'm going to assume that in ".41" you mean a 657,57,58,or ruger as opposed to the S&W 629 which is a stainless .44 mag. The .44 mag will produce more recoil than the .41 mag. BTW the .44 mag is .429 and the .41 mag is .410.

Got both. Ruger Redhawk .41mag, S&W M29 .44mag. Both have 6" barrels. The .44mag has a much harder hit. The .41's comparable/moderately harder than my .357mag.
