9mm - Relatively inexpensive and pretty common.
45. ACP - I've aways been a .45 fan.
.223 - Same as 9mm: relatively inexpensive and common.
12 gauge - Very common and wide variety of loads.
30-06 - Great range.

I'd have to include the odd ball 7.7mm Japanese. I just can't let go of my Grandpa's prized WWII trophy. That and it's PAINFULLY fun to shoot. (the story behind how he got it alone gets it on the list)
