Colt does not list the weight on the Defender or New Agent and if it is more than 30 oz loaded I would have to pass. I would still prefer the grip and SA trigger of the 1911 but will probably have to stay with the G36.
The new agent weighs 24oz empty. Holds 7+1. Approx. 29-30 ounces with 8 rounds mileage varies on charge weight and exact case weight and bullet weight. That is about what it is calculated with 230 grain bullets
