Wise decision... your new 686 will serve you well and retain its value forever. 686's are easy to maintain, they look great, and shoot like a champion. 38 Specials are cheap and readilly available and .357 Mags are a major force to rekon with, as your SD load. I have saveral S&W's and love them all.

TIP: Don't show more affection towards your 686 than your wife... or she won't let you go to the gun range anymore...

That 10 day waiting period is a bunch of CRAP!

Congrats on your excellent choice of S&W 686 .357. I can't imagine what it must be like living in place where I couldn't pick a gun and 10 minutes later walk out with it. If obama and his henchmen have their way, we'll all have to do that.

ha I can't stand the wait!!!!! I know background check blah blah blah but you buy a new toy and you can't play with it for a week and a half! Well I get it on tuesday...

One of the guys that works at my regular bulletorium is selling a very nice Kimber 1911 in the $700 range.
