Gonzilla: thx for the encouragement! Sadly I left all my Reloading behind with one of my Cousins In NY since he did me the favor of "holding" my 2 safes and my Music Stuff In his Basement until I could get it All Shipped here and made space for it all! Did get a few boxes of reloads he did for me that are 200 Gr Hornady Flat Nosed & 150 HP Loads(He also sent me; 1000 Rds. Each of .223/5.56, .30-06, .308/7.62, And 750 Each(total) of .45, .9mm,..38/.357, and with the last of the .41Mag. Brass came 350 Rds. of .41) ...I was going to go to the Range today and try them out in One of the Gold Cups & My Commander, plus bring My Dan Wesson,...But DW is having a Migraine/Vertigo attack so no Driving:-(....I'll have to make Due with some test targets from the .22's and the .22 shotshells & .22 reduced power loads from 30 Ft. in my backyard(I have a Back Security/Property Wall that ranges from 12-16Ft. High,..and 3 of the 4 houses behind and to the left & right rear of me are Empty...and because of the "new construction" going on in our development we're having a "field Vermin" issue (Mice & Desert Prairie Dogs!) so the County told us we can shoot em if we see em! Don't know if a Winchester 36 Gr. HP or CCI 40 Gr. Mini Mag will take out the Desert Dogs...Might need the 22Mag., .38/.357, or my Mini-14/.223-5.56.......(Can You Imagine a 50+ y.o. Man walking with a cane in one hand and a Pistol gripped stock Mini-14 in the other walking around a Development looking for stuff to shoot??If it Wasn't Arizona I'd probably get locked up!!!!)

One of reasons I'm a 1911 fan is the ability to tune them for the load you prefer to shoot. I've even got a 12lb spring but haven't been able to use it yet.

I was in the same boat, my health went South and was in hospital for an extended stay. When I got out, I wanted to shoot but recoil was a problem and I discovered shooting skills were perishable. . Never thought it could happen to me...LOL . Then again, who does ???

I did have a P90. I loved it. I thought it was awesome. Nothing compared. Then I bought my 1911. I sold that P90 almost immediately.

I've never tested it for truth, but the idea isn't that supersonic pellets are less accurate, but that you lose accuracy when the pellet transitions from supersonic to subsonic. There is supposedly turbulence at that interface.

I actually have heard rimfire benchrest shooters worry about the same thing. That's why "standard velocity" rounds are so popular with .22 bullseye shooters.

There will always be substantial turbulence when an object goes transonic. But I've never seen any information on how it would impact something as small as a bullet.
