The .41 was used in the filming of the first dirty Harry movie. The propmaster did not get the M-29 until after the shooting was finished. The opening sequence was filmed last, with the .44

IIRC, they used Model 58's for the movie. they have the same external appearance and dimensions as the Model 29.

Nope. Model 57. The 58 was a fixed sight version. I have one! Of each/ Ha ha!

you're correct! i had them mixed up. the 57 had the adjustable sights. the same pistol with exception for the sights though.
