The .380 acp is gaining momentum as a good carry gun. The 9mm has a lot more options than the .380 because there are so many different 9mm guns made. But gun makers are realizing that people like the .380 which is why more .380 models are showing up.

I often wonder if a full size .380 (4 or 4.5 barrel) locked breech with 12 to 15 round mags were made, would it sell well?

I personally wouldn't see the point.

I own a SS PPK 380 and love shooting that little gun. When I am plinking along at the range with my .22 the 380 is a nice change of pace. Not sure if I'll ever carry it, but it would at least make a nice back up option to a larger caliber. And with FMJ it would certainly do some damage if need be.

I have a Charter Mag Pug that I pocket carry. Fortunately I am an old fart so I don't mind wearing bib overalls or suspenders. When I was younger there is no way I would wear suspenders and bibs were only for cold weather. I know the Bersa is not as heavy as a Mag Pug but it will still drag your britches down. I would advise buying suspenders or some nice looking boxers.

10-4 John Deere! I will be going with something lighter. The Beretta Pico is what I'm looking at.

Personally, I am going to wait on buying a Pico until after 1 year of successful sales. Then, if its still in their lineup I'm in. And I would like to buy it with the caliber conversion as it can be swapped out to .32 as well. While it may look similar to the Nano it is a different pistol, however I will add that my Nano has been just about flawless in terms of operation, barring 1 FTE when it first got it. And this is after more than 600 rounds. Beretta firearms are spot on reliable and built to last. In spite of its size and weight, the Nano has a very manageable felt recoil and I am able to aim it so naturally. I was pleasantly surprised by that. It's a keeper, and to that I would entertain buying a Pico...after all the "retail beta testing" is over.

John Browning invented the .380 in 1908 for Colt. The .380 has been used around the world. It has never been out of production. I expect there are more .380 options today than ever before.

Bersa is coming out with a new .380 in 2014. The BP380cc it is locked breech, 3.3 barrel, 7 or 8 round mag, modeled after the BP9cc 9mm.
