Best 22 is Jimenez. Second best, phoenix.

Yeah, I'm a bang-4-buck guy when it comes to round worthless for defense... why wouldn't one by though? Unless used for some professional small caliber shooting stuff I'd have no clue about.

Your talking Pocket 22's the best are From Walther( the old TP-22) and the Beretta 21A,...doesn't mean the others won't work.

+1 on the Beretta great little gun. I picked mine up well worn from pocket carry for $100. Cleaned the snot out of it and now my FIL has seemed to have claimed it. It really likes to be kept clean as after 50 rounds or so you can tell a difference in the action.

These were cheap at one time and worked decent.........

Iver Johnson/AA TP22.

What people pay for them now flat out shocked me.

Snot?

I've only cleaned one suicide gun, no grey matter and or dental that required certified disposal.

But for mucus I'd still go with a bleach solution or Citrus 2 medical and IPA bath (mult). Then Gunscrubber (all while wearing nitrile gloves and eye protection).

Maybe overdoing it...........made me feel better though

That made my day Dr.

It was a black buggie for sure as it looked like it had never been cleaned. The guy carried it in his pocket without a holster for 2 years and complained about it jamming. When I looked at it I figured that a good cleaning and it should be fine and it was.

Cool, glad I got ya to smile !!
When I first went to work for an armored Guard co. At 18 when I was in CJ School( before I heard the call to serve my country) I got to draw out a Remington 870 defense model. My friend who got me the job warned me that they were in bad shape. I went out and got my own....

So to round this thing out....I did finally purchase a .22 pistol amd I could not be more happy. I did end up with the S&W M&P 22. It feels great in the hand...and fits the M&P line well in form and function. It also came with the threaded barrel should I ever want to go down that road. The trigger is definitely not the same feel as it has a fair bit of take up followed by an immediate break. This is also the first handgun I have ever had to purchase that was not dead on out of the box....one slight adjustment to the front sight and that will be corrected. Overall, outstanding semi-auto for the price! Thanks for all of your thoughts and opinions as they were definitely a factor in the decision.
