ALMOST all .22 pistols are .22 rimfire- usually .22 LR. There are a very few centerfire .22s, but they would usually be found in a semi-custom bolt action varmint or target type pistol pistol. They would include things like the 22 BR Remington, .22 Hornet, 22K Hornet, etc. Those are pretty much light rifle cartridges adapted into single shot pistols.

The FN FiveseveN is nominally a .22, but not called that. Semi auto pistol.

IF you get into Thompson Center pistols, and the like, then ther ecan be several .22 caliber options.
