i am on the hunt for a stainless 1911.

i dont care what brand really, and it must be shiny lol...

is it even possible to get one under $1000?

Yes you can, but remember that the jump from .380, .22, or 9mm to .45ACP, if that's what you're looking for, is a big one. Good luck with your search.

Here's one, but it might not be shiny enough for you...also comes in 9mm, which might be more what you're used to.

Take a look at a Springfield Mil Spec in stainless. You may be able to find a stainless Colt for your price as well.

i appreciate the concern, but i grew up on the 1911 man.
been shooting my uncles various models for about 10 years now.

not too interested in the rock island version at all...

and i looked at that springfield, and i love it!

What is wrong with the Rock Island? You can anodize the Hammer, Trigger, grip safety and Safety Then Change the grips to these Sweet Gold ones.gold-grips.jpg
