Okay, I got vacation approved for Oct. 2-7 and I have a hotel room reserved for the nights of Oct. 4th and 5th. I'm all ready to have some fun and education at the Shoot and Hoot.

Done deal! See you in October!

BTW, been watching some of the shotgun fundamentals on YouTube. They mostly agree and make pretty good sense. Gonna take some getting used to trying to ignore the front sight after fighting to learn that for pistol...

ok, im moving the mystery pic winners slot to the 19th. i may have a guy from a gun shop in springfield interested in coming. and since he'll be alone, having him shoot alone on the current defunct 19 oct shoot is silly. besides, the 2 1st place contestents for the mystery pic already said theyd aint coming. so that was a bust too.
once i get shooter #15's payment, i'll lock him in the 4pm squad.

Dang that looks nice. My LOP is around 13 inch. The gun has 14 inch LOP and the gun has no recoil pad added. I suspect I would need a recoil pad. Would that make the LOP too long for me? My LOP measured 13 inch following the method posted by Winds earlier.

Also, my son found a 12 ga semi-auto that looks for all the world like an AR-15. The semi-auto would eat up a lot of recoil. It comes with 3 chokes, full, modified? and cylinder. Would that be a better option? More money, but the price is forgotten long after the quality is recognized!
