This may be hard for me...
Before joining the Marines, where empty ANYTHINGS are ALWAYS policed, I did all my shooting in horse pastures where you damn well better pick up your empties there too, or mama would break that shotgun or rifle across my ass...

all we do is kick em aside. since muzzles on a shotgun range are always down, by putting your hands and head down...puts you in danger if someone is holding a loaded gun and it AD's. and besides, its a shotgun 'thing' not to bend over, sends blood to your eyes and head. it causes you to blur and get dizzy...throwing off depth perception. do it 25 times and by the time you go around...youll be worn out.
and too...some guns fling hulls far...and people tend to go after them and forget others are shooting and loading.
we leave them lie here.

My gun only has extractors, and I have a vest. If it's all the same, I'd just assume drop my empties in my pocket. It'd probably actually be less movement than intentionally tossing them on the ground. Unless you insist.

im posting this up for duddie10.......
we may have another shoot on 19 oct!!!!!!!!!!

here is your bug out list:

* shotgun, 12ga or 20ga. must have shoulder stock. must be in working order. suggest pump, semi, o&u, or sbs.
* interchangable chokes both IC & FULL. SKT will be fine too. if you dont have a gun with interchangable chokes, bring two shotguns...one with a full and one with a skeet or IC choke in it.
* 10 boxes of ammo, 7 1/2 or 8 shot.
* ball cap
* safety glasses, clear or smoked.
* shell pouch if you have one. (dont buy one, i have some you can borrow.)
* ear plugs, not ear muffs. those big dorky ones will interfere with your stock fit to your cheek.
* batters gloves. nice but not needed.
* 10 gallons of nerves
* 1 humble pie
* and 8 hours of energy

whats rule 26...........

you can stick em in your vest as you shoot....of course. and if you drop some, pick them up at the end of the day or when the range is cold.

Rule 26: You may keep whatever hulls you came with. All others are*club property and must remain.

Works for me.

I may end up tossing a few on the ground just because I may run out of room in my only two pockets. It just goes against the grain for me.

Oh, and you reload don't you? I'll gladly donate my hulls. It would just make me turn green around the gills to leave them laying on the ground and walk away from them.

we dont let anything go to waste.
if you look at my pic of my club...youll see i have blue barrels on the fields. those are for hulls only. after every game (25 shots) you can empty them there if you want to lesson the pouch.

I reload, so I'll probably keep mine. I'll probably wait until the range is cold to get them though.
