What I did learn is that trap comes from overhead and away in front of you and skeet is usually side to side across the shooter. From what I read, trap is harder to shoot because if the shooter hesitates, the target is getting further away. With skeet, the target is always the same distance from the shooter. Now I know you probably all knew that but I'm telling you, I know nothing about this sport. I'm afraid I'm going to drive you all nuts.

trap goes away, skeet goes away, comes at you, and crosses.

the heavier a gun is, the less kick.
but in winds case......she needs a lighter gun.
there goes that!
this is why finding a gun for her is a tuff chore.
it must be light....
short......
a semi auto action to absorb recoil......
and chamber enough lead to do the job.

10. Load only when you are on a firing station. Otherwise, keep your firearm unloaded with the action open.

I think she should try mine, honestly. I have shoulder damage, and was looking for a 20G semi for myself, youth model (pretty much exactly what you're trying to find for her).

I bought this gun pretty much on a whim. For some reason, the only thing I'm having trouble with is my middle finger. After you mentioned it, I did check into it, and yes, it's because I have to reach so damn far to catch that front trigger.

I'm going to work on grip, gloves, or possibly even building a new trigger guard to rectify that problem.

Winds, due to my shoulder damage, when I shot some with Downsouth and Co., I had to give up on their 12's, and spent the rest of the time using the 410 side by side that DS later gave to his daughter. I couldn't seem to miss (yet I was shooting miserably with their pump guns).

I actually looked for a 410 side by side for you at a gun show... alas, couldn't find one in even safe condition, and the cheapest I saw was $250. If I could have found you one for say, $100 and beat to hell and back, I would have refurbished it for you.
