You shouldn't have a problem with .410. You may be able to handle 20ga pretty well too.
I really can't remember how long the barrel was.

I just want a shotgun that will do it's part if I do mine. Somewhere along the way I got the impression the .410 might not be able to shoot far enough. I very well could be mistaken, though.

winds...410 will hold its own on the first 3 games. then, i'll put you on my M50 20ga with full choke. too long or too heavy, sorry, its all i got.
maybe someone will have something lighter and better to loan you. im hoping the 777 family will let you in on one of those 20ga guns. they will all be on your squad.
maybe tex will loan you his bolt 20ga.

now you see why im listing all the guns. so you guys can know who to ask.

I am truly going to lift weights as best as I can considering my arthritic left elbow. I really am going to do my best.

I looked for the answer but couldn't find it. But I'm going to guess skeet.

Winds, I don't know if this is a good deal or not, really, but it looks like an affordable price to me. I'll send you the text of the seller's ad via PM if you're interested, just let me know. I'm not REAL comfy posting his info here, because even though he posted it first on the internet, he did it in a closed facebook group.

But here's a picture of the gun this guy is selling. He's asking $375, but consider the price to be less by $50 if you want it, and I'll help you get it. It's a 20 gauge semi auto Remington. I'd almost be willing to bet money that it kicks like a puppy.

Oh, I would help anyone get it if they want it, but I would like to see Winds get first refusal if I'm helping to facilitate it.

ETA: He's updated the ad, it's an 11-48. Now that I know exactly what model, I'll do some searching and see what the going rate is and some customer reviews. I would invest in a slip on recoil pad for it with a big shoot like this.

Bobski, chime in with your thoughts on this model?

they kick. they are recoil operated like browning A5's.
pass.
winds situation is unique.
she needs a gun that is semi auto to absorb recoil.
it needs to be a lop of 12".
it must be light...6lbs or less.
you dont go chopping 3-400 guns to get that.
so a cheaper used gun is the target.
problem....find one cheap!
the closest gun winds could possibly own is a youth 1100 20ga. but try to find a used 1100 for under 2-300.00. its gonna be a hunt for hens teeth.

honestly, the cheapest gun out there today in 20ga is a bolt action gun. but they can be crisp in the recoil area. guns are like shoes. you gotta try them on.....then, after you test drove it, you start making it personal.
this is the closest thing to what winds could use...but its a pump.
but the pad could come off for the 12" lop and it has chokes.
