fyi...i will have some chairs and benches for you guys, but if you come early and we get a 4pm squad, some may be sitting around waiting their turn or waiting for the shoot off at the end of the meet; so, bring some lawn sofas so you can wallow in the field, soak up some rays, and pet the cows thru the fence....until its your turn!

Will NOT be petting some stupid, smelly cow. They're good for absolutely nothing but milk and burgers. They don't even make cute babies!!

if you shoot bad, you must walk a cow patty field as part of your punishment.

Define "bad"...
Just not getting 1st place, or wasting clays?

So everyone except one person has to walk through half digested grass composed fecal matter mixed with bovine urine?

I guess I'm glad I hit 95 of 100 a couple weeks ago... But they were all thrown straight out in front of us with very little variation in height and speed...

I'd better practice more...

study up guys. know this before you come, to make my day easier and less stressful.
--------------------
Top 10 Bad Habits of Skeet and Trap Shooters
1. Lack of Knowledge or Preparation. Most shooters begin shooting without any knowledge of the science of the sport or the equipment they possess. Many place too much emphasis on the gun and blame the gun when it doesn’t perform. Most of the time, the gun is fine. It’s usually the shooters who don’t have a working knowledge of what’s happening around them.
2. Improper Choice of Gun and Ammo. Keen eyes with cheap guns with fine ammo are sometimes hard to beat. Guns are like shoes, they must fit. And the most expensive or well-fit gun is worthless if the ammo chosen is incompatible with the sports objective. Most shooters forget that the gun only launches the shotshell. It’s the shotshell that actually breaks the target. Everything must work in equal unison to achieve a broken target.
3. Anticipation. Anticipation can cause muscular reflexes of an instant nature that so closely coincide with recoil, that extreme difficulty is experienced in making an accurate call. Anticipation is also the sire to flinching.
4. Improper Grip or Position. Suffice to say that you cannot fire a decent score with any gun at any range if you continually change your grip or foot position.
5. Not Looking at the Sights. You must concentrate on sight alignment prior to changing focus to the field.
6. Loss of Concentration. If the shooter fails to act out the hit mentally prior to it happening, all it becomes a guessing game. Each shot is a perfect picture. It must be recalled, then performed. Mental checklists help overcome this.
7. Lack of Follow Through. Follow through is the subconscious attempt to keep everything just as it was at the time the shot broke. In other words you are continuing to fire the shot even after it has left the barrel.
8. Lack of Rhythm. Hesitancy on the shot or any subsequent shot is lack of rhythm. Develop a good rhythm and then have the fortitude to employ it in every case. Frequently many shooters will have fine rhythm until the last few stations and then hesitate as they near 25 straight.
9. Match Pressure. If there are 500 competitors in a match, rest assured that there are 500 shooters suffering from match pressure. So, what makes you think you are so different? If you are exerting all your mental energy toward executing the correct fundamentals rather than the arithmetic odds of winning, your match pressure will only be what you feel when people congratulate you on a fine performance.
10. Shooters Fail To Be Serious. Attitude can make or break a shooter. The shooting day should begin with positive expectations and should end with valid self-evaluations. Shooters should treat every match as if it’s a practice and treat every practice as if it’s a match.

Alright! I get to shoot with Trip! Just remember, Trip, it's my job to make everyone else look good. One of us has to look like we know what we're doing, and that's you!!!

I've never shot these games before! Only informal backyard style shooting. It's a whole different ball game!
