im giving free instructions and lessons.
odds are, many there will be learning too.
the word match shouldnt scare you off. i dont think anyone comes planning to win. it just happens to be one lucky one and everyone has fun. its just whoever hits the most wins, after playing 6 different games. most good shooters are good at one game, not 6 different ones.
to give you an idea....last match i had, 200 rounds were fired...and the winning score was 74. low score was 24. didnt matter. it was absolutely a blast! and the way i set it up, you can be a great shot and still lose. if the last place shooter wins the last game, they tie the winner and then both go to a tricky shootoff. so skill isnt the secret. luck is. it makes it fair for all. and what do you win? a trophy? its not like youll be winning a car or a suv!!!!!!! its no pressure, just fun.
a 50 spot? its a spit in the wind. gas and motel will cost you the most. contact gvw3. he's from chicago. he can give you an idea how much it will cost for a weekend from ill. he did it last meet! his son won the match! and he won, because he listened to me and did what i told him....instead of texting his gf somewhere 1000 miles away.

squads.
a squad is 5 shooters. its the most that can move around the course at a time safely. it also is how many it will take to empty my machines before running out. so if you have 6, someone will have to run into the houses and reload them. it slows the whole ball down and i dont like doing that with loaded guns and beginners.
a beginners squad can shoot 4 games in about 2 hours.
after everyone gets checked in around 9am, the first squad can go out around 10am. that means the rest can watch and chat with the others until its there turn. i will teach 5 games to each squad. make it 1pm to finish squad 1.
i take the next 5 out. by 1pm.
2nd squad finishes by 4pm.
then, all 10 of you will shoot the annie oakley together. match will be over no later than 5pm.
the sun will be going down then. i'll flip on the lights and let anyone who wants to just shoot do so until whenever they want to leave. i usually lose consiousness around 10pm. i will have been on my feet for 15 hours.
those wanting to stay till sunday and shoot more, we start shooting 12 noon to respect the church goers down the road.

heres what the sign up looks like......
SQUAD 1 - 9AM
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
SQUAD 2 - 1PM
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
as people come forward and commit, i will fill in the blanks. i might suggest that locals take squad 2. people coming from far way, will most likely be here the night before and be able to shoot first thing. those coming from near by will have time to wake up, travel, and get here by 1pm on the meet day.
if the meet goes over 10 people, i'll be surprised. but if it does, i will redesign the meet to get you all shot by days end.
if i lead 100 SEALS on paraops in my day, i can lead you ground slugs with my eyes closed.

I wish we could but we have our daughter that weekend and making her sit in the car for 8 hours twice within a couple of days is not good. Maybe the 2nd one.

bobski - I am very interested! Pls put me on the iffy list LOL! I am checking with the warden to see if that date will work...only thing that may be an issue is the kids may be on school break and we usually try to take em somewhere, like FL for the week...hopefully I can participate in the event - All I have to shoot with is a Rem 870...nothing fancy

If this question is directed at me, no, I don't know how to shoot a shotgun. I don't even know the difference between trap and skeet, let alone the different matches you mentioned.
