I'm kind of interested. My buddy who isn't on the forum and I are thinking about coming out from St. Charles...if we don't it's mostly because it's a 3 hour drive away from campus and we are both RAs that work in the dorm.

How much is it? I see that we need 10 boxes of shells, our own safety and shooting gear which we all have, but how much for the birds?

3 hours drive? If it were that close for me I'd be going. You and your friend should definitely go. This is a great opportunity to have some fun, learn a few things, meet some FTF members and shoot. Does it get any better than that?

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'd love to go but my friend doesn't really have a horse in the race. He mostly shoots International/Olympic Skeet and normally only registered targets.

That and I don't have a car and IDK if he would want to drive.

hes way over qualified for the meet and would make the new guys feel out of place or dominate the game. he's more than welcome to shoot with the beginners for bragging rights only and to help them, and be my eyes in the back of my head, but its not fair he be part of the run for the trophy. he'd be a ringer. we arent using class divisions here.
this is for beginners.
and if it gets crowded, id allow him to shoot of on the other field if he was willing to let a novice take his slot. besides, im sure there will be other skilled shooters coming too.

so what will it be? any idea yet?

remember, the range card is good for all of 2013. if you only shoot your 6 match games, youll have 5 left over. you and he can come back on your own anytime. (the card is good for 10 games, get one free.) even better!

Well...In all honesty...I've been shooting skeet and sporting clays since I was 12 and I am on the school's shooting team too.

I just thought it may be nice for you to have a couple other guys who know what they're doing to help out. We don't really care for prizes....It's not always a competition. We go to the range just to shoot all the time.
