Shooting Ranges.
 

Im looking at trying to see where some good shooting ranges are at in Michigan? I live in Grand Rapids but im willing to travel to have a good time shooting. Also if you know prices or youngest age alowed to shoot that would be great. Any info helps.

I know there is an indoor range on 28th Street, Silver Bullet. Other than that I', not too familiar with your area. Not sure how far you want to travel but the word is that there is an indoor range going up right now in Big Rapids near the intersection of 131 express way and Perry St. I'll try to find out more.

Thanks, but i usually go to Silverbullet because its the closest one to my house. They are located on Division, just north of 54th street. Im looking for places all over Michigan, dont matter how far.

It's quite a ways from you but my friend belongs to Branch County Sportsmans Club near Coldwater. They do have a website. I've been there a couple times with him and only once was there someone else present. There was another member with his 8 or 9 year old son shooting. I let the young guy shoot my AR and he had a ball.

I think member pays $75 a year and that includes immediate family and kids under 18. You get a key for the lock, max range is 200 yards. It isn't fancy but the opportunity to do things not allowed at other ranges might be worth it.

Southern Michigan Gun Club, just West of Kalamazoo is a fantastic venue. Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun ranges. Annual Membership fee, but you can participate with any member you may know for $5.00 per trip to the range. Well maintained and safety monitored. A variety of "Shoots," including vintage military. They also have an indoor range downtown Kalamazoo for small arms.

Shooters in Traverse City is an excellent indoor range (has a web site). They are on US31 just west of Chums Corners (where Menard's is). They are maybe 2-3 miles west of Menard's.
