Michigan IDPA

Hi all,

I am decently new to shooting... Put about a few thousand rounds down the barrel. I am just getting over a broken foot (no more range time with my boot!) and am looking to get involved in some IDPA competitions. Not too interested in competing per say, but would like to get out and meet some new folks and become a better shooter. So where can I find these matches? I am out in Macomb. Any info would be appreciated. I would love to help set up and participate myself. Would be a great break from school!

I shoot uspsa. You can go to their website and use a club finder to get started.. I'm sure idpa has something similar

Go to IDPA.com. There is a link to find your local club. It is a lot of fun. I just go to enjoy shooting and hang out with like minded people. It is a great time.

Livingston County Sportsman Club apparently has a great program. Co-Worker has tried to get me to come out and join the fun.

might also try looking on the local michigan gun owners forum

I shoot at the Detroit Sportsman's Congress in Shelby Twp. Our program is kind of on the ropes right now, but we still have about 6 regulars. We try to shoot on Wednesday evenings from 5 pm to dark. Starting next month we will probably go to the indoor range on Saturday mornings. Our organizer has had some work related OT so Wednesdays have been hit or miss.
