Has anyone here either from MA or anywhere else heard anything new about this legislation? Last I heard, there was a hearing on it in the Joint Committee on the Judiciary on Feb 7th (or, supposed to be), but I have yet to hear anything, good, bad or indifferent. I'm a member of both GOAL and the NRA, and the last I heard from either of them on this was a reminder on the 7th about the hearing. I know it's only been a week, but you think you would have heard from someone that "it seemed to have gone ok" or "that was worse than a root canal"...

Any info would be appriciated.

I guess the bill was heard but that seems to be about it so far. I think the lawmakers are taking the "ignore it and it'll go away" approach...sad, but predictable...

I used to be in the Guard, out of the Quincy Armory when I lived in Boston. I am now living right behind it, and out of the Guard.... ironic?

Crazy, I still remember exactly where the armory is! If you've ever taken the Furnace Brook Parkway exit off of 93 you've driven by my old house...literally right under the overpass...took me a year to be able to fall asleep without all the traffic noise after I moved away...amazing what you can get used to...crappy laws included...

Yeah, the laws here keep getting more retarded. I've thought about moving, many times. The only thing that's kept me here is my job. I'll never be able to find another one that let's me make what I do, for as little work as I actually do (and believe me, I already looked).
