Default Indiana Precision Long Range Rifle Course

We only offer this in Indiana once a year.....very limited space.

Two Day Precision Long Range Rifle Immersion Course

Who: Course Conducted by Will Farrugia, Lead Instructor for Florida Firearms Training LLC (www.floridafirearmstraining.com)

How Many: This class is limited to 6 Students only! First 6 to sign up are in.

What: This course will be invaluable to anyone who wants to experience the satisfaction of long range precision marksmanship. It is specifically designed around the needs of shooters (both new and old) that are interested in learning the fundamental skills for shooting accurately at long range. Course intent is to cover the techniques required to achieve first round hits out to 600 yards with bonus targets out to1000 yards.

Where: Course will be hosted at the beautiful Hillside Shooting Sports range located just outside the small town of Roanoke in the northeast part of Indiana. The range is positioned on 600 hundred acres of rolling hills and beautiful farm land. There is convenient access to the range and plenty of parking to accommodate. Location is just 5 minutes east of Highway 24, and about 6 minutes west of I-69.

The facility has a reactive steel rifle range with paper and steel targets on berms located at 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 600 and 1000 yards. See more: www.hillsideshootingsports.com

Course Includes: Classroom and on-range practical training that includes Rifle Set-up, Optic Set-up and Correct Placement, Sighting In, Bi-pod, Sling and Ammunition Selection and Ballistic Comparisons, Correct Bench and Prone Shooting Positions, Understanding Eye Relief, Breathing, Grip, Trigger Control, Follow Through, doping rifle to 1000 yards. Anyone interested in placing precision fire on targets at or near the maximum effective range of their rifle will learn the art and science involved in doing so in this course. Students that complete the course will leave with a combined knowledge of their personal capabilities with their equipment. Space is limited to six students.

When: Monday August 11th & Tuesday August 12th 2014.

Ammunition Required: 200 rounds of match grade ammunition min. NO Steel Core or Penetrating ammo allowed.

Prerequisites: Students must be safe and competent with their chosen rifle.

Additional Equipment: A .308 or similar caliber Precision Rifle capable of Minute of Angle Accuracy (Precision rifles are a necessity for a course of this kind.), Quality Adjustable Scope (A scope that will allow for precision shooting at 500+ yards, Mil Dot, Target Turrets, BDC or Meridian Reticules are recommended.), Bipod, Sling, Rear Bag, Shooting Matt, Binos / Spotting Scope, Head Cover, Cleaning Kit, Pen / Pencil, Highlighter, Rifle Data Book and Notebook, Calculator.
