Yes. I liked it enough to write a post, two or three down from this one.
Some folks don't like the price (but there are ways to get discounts) or that they check your ammo for steel core (not allowed on their ranges).
Their ammo prices are high, probably should buy it somewhere else.

My son and I joined the St. Charles Sportsmen's Club today. We went to several other ranges but this looked the best. I will shoot there next week. I will let you know how it is then.

Bullet Express in Springfield, IL or Darnalls in Bloomington, IL.

I also can shoot handgun rounds safely at a friends farm during the summer.

St. Charles Sportsmen's Club seems very nice. We shot 5 rounds of trap. It's only $4 a round. You can bring your own shells. Shooting membership was $70. Open year round.

If you want to shoot pistol rifle you need to become a full member. That's $300 start up and $175 a year. I may do this next year.

So far the club looks nice and the people seem friendly.

I spent about 10 minutes in MegaSports before I walked right back out. I've shot at JR's, Buffalo Rock, Des Plaines Conservation Area and Rinks. I've also gone out to Deb's, Willow Slough and Sand Burr Gun Ranch out in Indiana.

Haven't checked out Article 2 yet, but I would like to. I've heard some good things.

So, of the ones I've been to locally, Rinks out of convenience and cost. It definitely could use better lighting, better ventilation and updated target hanging system. But I go there most often.

JR's is a little costly for usage and ammo.

Buffalo's Plinking Pit was AWESOME! But Madigan closed that part down this year(at least that's what I read). The last 2 times I went there the Pistol Range RSO has had a serious attitude problem (2 different people).

Des Plaines Conservation area was only for shotgun. Nice little place, clean up after yourself. Most people I've run into there have been real nice.

Deb's is an accident waiting to happen.

Willow Slough was nice. I'd go back there. Only shot rifle there.

Sand Burr Gun Ranch, it's a ways away for me. I actually went there as part of a 5 day intensive. Top notch place. Family owned. I'd go back there again (for outside courses and for courses from the owner).

I shoot at article 2 once a week. Was just there today with my wife. It been open just over a year or so in the lombard facility. I never have any issues their. The range areas look a little run down already, but this place sees ALOT of shooters daily... No hassles from the range guys there and I took my utah and fl ccw classes there. The best guy behind the gun counter is keith. He will at least work with you on gun prices. The gun prices there are high but they normally are in most of the IL lgs's I go to. It's worth a trip. Definitely make a reservation for a lane if you plan on shooting on the weekends. You will wait if you don't...

I belong to a shooting club and I use their range at least 3 times a month.
