Hopefully if your applying for a permit. You have used a handgun once or twice.

...and how many Cops have "combat experience?"

I served Light Infantry for 6 years... Have many LEO's at my gun club...and very few of them measure up to the knowledge or gun handling skills of our Vets.

The US military and the NRA are the recognized training experts in our Nation... The hodge podge of PoPo academies across the county, from
what I've seen... Turn out "novices" who strap on a gun and are authorized to use deadly force.

Personally... I've got more confidence in trained soldiers than LEOs.

Tack

90 to 27, one voter pressed wrong button. It passed. Carry concealed in Illinois moves to Governor's desk for approval.

I want either less corruption or more opportunity to participate in it.

You mean for veto. Thinks he's actually going to sign it?

No he will veto, but it's veto proof because of super majority. Well who knows he said he would veto prior bills, but I do not know if he was behind this bill.

He said he was neutral on this bill. I think with pressure from both madigan and cullerton he will just sign it.

Quote of the day:

Quote:
Democratic Sen. Kim Lightford of Maywood contended the bill fails to give "enough protections in violent situations."

What, having armed citizens isn't enough protection in a violent situation? I can't imagine what protections in a violent situation she's referring too.

I started reading it and the state has 6 months to put everything in place,
so I have time to read it, I did get to the part about preemption, so at least
we only need to learn one law, **** YOU Tiny Dancer!!!

I am putting it into a Word document I will post when I get it cleaned up...

Got stuff to do in the shop tonight.
