It was voted down 57-59. Entirely too close for comfort. I watch www.capitolfax.com for daily news out of Springfield.

It can be watched live at ilga.gov, that's where I watch when I have the time and my blood pressure allows. It REALLY gets frustrated. I damned near destroyed my computer last year when they were discussing paris hilton on the house floor, not kidding.

And how exactly would Paris Hilton as Governor of Illinois be a worse thing?

LOl She certainly couldn't be worse than our current or former governor. Perhaps she would ask Daddy for a bail out and he could fix our 90 billion of debt.

Actually they were arguing over a law banning people from driving with pets on their lap. I'll be honest this practice pisses me off but I don't think the government should be involved with where the pets sit in our cars. Then one rep asks the other rep "Have you consulted Paris Hilton on this topic?" The crowd giggles and the other rep responded "I have not yet spoken with her." WTF our tax dollars at work? I lost it big time.

We're 90 billion in debt. The clock is ticking on concealed carry. I mean there are some major issues and they are trying to pass laws about dogs in cars. That kind of chit can wait for next year. We have some major issues NOW.
