Chance, actually the time frame is just over 3 months, and I agree,
stagnation is better than a bill. Constitional carry would be a better option
in my opinion. 997 although is not a bad bill. 1155 will be a horrible bill.

I agree with you in that other than firearms should be included, like tazers,
etc.

Discussing here is great writing our legislators in more important, I am
going to write a letter and send it to every newpaper I can.

There is no way they are going to let us go constitutional carry. They won't want to lose out on the revenue that issuing permits will generate.

Of course, the way this state is run he whole thing will be borrowed against or bankrupt within a year.

While you do have valid points; I will add that the Downstate Dems and the
Chi-town Dem are at odds over this lesgislation. And there just maybe
enough friction to start a fire over it. The Chi town criminals will not support
997, it takes their power away, and Down staters are supporting it.

HB1155 will not have a chance in hell and is just fodder for Madigan and his
gang of criminals to be able to point at and say here we tried. But in reality
they did not.

Federal courts did us a great favor in imposing a dead line, the bid question
is will Springfield be able to get out of it own way and pass a bill by Mid
June??? Past performace would have you betting that they will not; but
they have never had a real fire lit under their butts like this before.

Default ccw legislation

Well, right now HB 1155 is the bill that is being pushed, since it is Madigans bill. There are I think 43 amendments sofar and growing daily. Latest one ( not yet voted on) says you have to go to a psych doctor and get an evaluation in writing that says you are able to take care of yourself without outside help, and dont have any mental issues. Then that has to be submitted with your application. And that this will also apply to new and renewed FOID applications. The whole thing is a clusterF##k. I say just let the time run out and see what happens. HB1156 is also a shell bill they are holding if they need it.

stay safe

I agree wait out the anti's; we have the votes let June 8th pass have Constitutional carry and **** them...

The anti's are running scared they know they do not have the votes; the
Federal Courts ruled against them. We just need to stay strong and wait
them out!!!

URGENT ALERT – YOUR ACTION NEEDED

MAGAZINE BAN SET FOR A VOTE ON TUESDAY

House Speaker Michael Madigan and his gun-grabber pals have just reintroduced their magazine ban as Amendment 12 to HB1156.

THIS MAGAZINE BAN WILL BE UP FOR A VOTE ON TUESDAY

If this ban passes, you will have to go down to the police station and register your magazines that hold more than 10 rounds and you will have to sign an oath that you will never sell them to anyone else.

GUESS HOW MANY CRIMINALS WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER THEIR MAGAZINES? THE ANSWER IS ZERO!

Of course, sales of new magazines holding more than 10 rounds would be BANNED.

It’s very important that you make these calls. We realize that you’ve been called upon to act many times so far this year. But your continued support is crucial. Madigan and the gun-grabbers are hoping that you will get tired of defending your rights.

MADIGAN NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF DEFENDING OUR RIGHTS!

HERE IS WHAT YOU MUST DO TO PROTECT YOUR RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS

1. Call your state representative and politely tell them you are a law-abiding gun owner who objects to magazine bans. Politely advise them to vote NO on Amendment 12 – the magazine ban. If you do not know who your state representative is, then the Illinois State Board of Elections has a new interactive search page here:
www.elections.state.il.us/DistrictLocator/DistrictOfficialSearchByAddress.aspx

If you know who your representative is, you can find their contact info here:
www.ilga.gov/house/.

2. Post this alert to any and all Internet Bulletin Boards or blogs to which you subscribe.

3. Pass this alert on to your friends and family and ask them to call their legislators as well.
