That Hawaii "reference" first came up on the Illinois Carry forum,
and has had a bunch of us saying WTF for awhile.

Always take what you read (especially on the internet) with a grain of salt.

I once had a professor say, "At best a well reviewed and regarded text book
is only 80% correct at best. All other documents falling below that."

Stay far far away from the northeast part of the state.
My business is located a stones throw from Itasca, If I could relocate it to a business friendly state, I'd be gone in a heartbeat.

Decisions made... Thanks for all the advice. Ultimately it came down to family closeness... I'm gonna have to suck it up and deal with the cold liberal North.. I accepted the offer and start in March... They gave me pretty much everything I asked for.. Going to rent in IL West of Chicago for a year and then decide where to buy..

Thanks to everyone for their input..

budget!

SORRY TO HEAR YOU ARE GOING TO ILLINOIS! ONE OF THE MOST UNFRIENDLY SECOND AMENDMENT STATES IN THE USA.
It is not the good folks in Illinois that run the State! It is the idiots in Chicago!
I have several friends in Illinois and they would tell you the same. Some are gun dealers!
Foyd Cards, Attacks on certain weapons and all!
Illinois, California, Connecticut, New Jersey and a few others whould not be anything I would be interested in no matter what they offered.
Good Luck in the Chicago area!

Sniper03.. Oh I understand your feelings.... They are why I'm doing everything I can to become a resident of Indiana and not Illinois... Just work there.. However I love my wife.. And Happy wife Happy life as they say... If things work out, I will be buying a decent amount of property in Indiana within a year... I can deal with Indiana...
