I figured the first guy to lose his would be over a DUI or a restraining order.......

I'd be inclined to say that as long as one simple fact is correct; that it was an argument over rent money, we can safely say he's in the wrong, no?

I don't know what happened, but if he pulled his gun to threaten, in offense, rather than pulled justifiably in defense, the guy is wrong. However if he pulled it in defense and then the tenants called the cops making up a story, well that's another thing. We all know 3 sides to every story. Yours, mine and the truth.
