Default Buying ammo online question

I was wondering can you have ammo sent to your house or does it have to go through a FFL dealer. If it does have to go through a dealer do they charge to have it shipped to them like they do firearms??

I believe you can have ammo shipped right to your house. I believe it can't be sent via the Post Office but it can be FedExed.

With some online ammo dealers, someone needs to be at the house to sign for the delivery.

Didn't know that, better not buy then lol.
Think my wife would be pissed if she had to carry some spam cans in.

ALL ammo is "adult signature required" to comply with Federal law on age of ammo purchase.

it can also be shipped by UPS adult signature. so you or an adult that can sign for it will have to be there as they won't just leave it on the porch. only restriction i believe is under 70lbs., but not 100% sure on that.

Shipment is UPS GROUND, max is 66 pounds. More than 66 pounds becomes HAZMAT. No tracer or HE, primers or powder except when shipped as HAZMAT.

Hazmat shipping has it's own rules, headaches and costs.

I ordered some ammo a few months back and never had to sign for it. Was it just a mistake made by UPS?
