I shoot either at the new Shoot Straight ( old Knights Shooting Sports ) or Wyoming Antelope Club over here in the Tampa area.

Is that the public range in the Osceola National Forest?
I used to shoot there a number of years ago, but at 65 miles one way I gave it up.

I prefer the real range and not one of them man made ones. I hike in the hills often and do most my glassing and shooting outdoors.

Yea, that's a scene often viewed here in Florida.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

If you live in the Ft. Lauderdale area, you're in for a great surprise in the next couple months.

Keep your eye open for the Grand Opening of Nexus Shooting;

I live in Jacksonville.

I have been to two indoor ranges, Gun Gallery and Bullseye. They are both very similar in price, distance from my house and what they let you shoot there. They are both ok, never had a problem at either.

I actually live very close to Gateway and can hear people shooting there from my house if the winds blowing the right direction. I have never shot there though. I tried going one time but I wanted to pattern my shotgun and that area was closed so I left. Looks ok though and they have IDPA matches there pretty regularly.

The new range that is opening at the end of the month on Wells Rd looks pretty cool. I plan to go and try that place out as soon as it is open. They allow shotguns (slugs only) so at least I can shoot all the calibers I own there.

There is also another range down on College Drive in Orange Park. I am not sure if it is open yet but I heard it is supposed to open soon.

The best place I have shot is on private land down in Keystone Heights. A friend of a friend has a Pecan Orchard and Nursery. He has a small range set up at the back and while we mainly shoot clays there we all usually bring along a variety of handguns too. Its easily the best way to go shooting because of the ability to shoot any type of gun and ammo you own.
