I'm in Naples and as mentioned before the state park is a good choice but decent ride. The CCSD range is open to the public the first and thrid Saturdays of each month. Pistols only and there is no cost.

About eight (8) or (9) deputies act as range masters and are very helpful.

There is also Cecil Webb gun range at the tucker's grade exit on 75 in Punta Gorda. Cost is $3 per visit or buy your WMA Pass from FWC and you can access any WMA (wildlife management area) in Florida for 1 year.

I'm in Jacksonville and shoot at Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club. They have a multitude of outdoor rifle and pistol ranges and an indoor airgun range. The annual membership is a little over $100.00 per year for unlimited use. Also have a 100 yard range at the hunting club that I belong to so I have plenty of places to let the lead fly.

I'm north of Jacksonville near the state line. I sometimes go to the indoor range at 2nd Amendment in Yulee.
I also have used the state range at Osceola national Forest in Lake City, but the range at Dixon WMA south of Waycross, Georgia is closer. Georgia recreational permit needed, but it's only $20 per year.
I've thought about Gateway in Jax, but that's a little too expensive for me.
