This is a community of very different people, most of us agree on at least the subject of firearms in general but thats where our concurrence ends for the most part. There are some here that have never felled an animal with a gun and never will, others have had very few days they didnt kill something to feed their families with. I dont know why Tail Trail gets the negative press here from some members, its just a choice to members over 18 that are interested. Although I have never asked to get in, I understand its pretty low key as porn goes and tame compared to many R-Rated movies that are on Cable TV. Honestly, people really get offended pretty easily now a days, thats a sign of weakness we should avoid for ourselves. Even our constitution says "A MORE Perfect Union", recognizing that better is attainable but perfect is not. We can be united without agreeing on all things, just the principles and rights that are the basis of our existence as Americans and guide our choices.

Try not to be so sensitive about legal things that others do, thats one of the hallmarks of recent republicans and conservatives that doesnt serve any of us well. "If I dont agree 100% with _________, I wont support them at all! Ive rarely agreed 100% with anyone much less myself. If you dont like nakid people, dont ask for permission to enter trail trail and for gods sake, dont watch TV or go to a movie Rated above PG. Just because some in our community appreciate it more than others doesnt really reflect on anyone here any more than a glock thread will cause you to be inappropriately grouped as a Glocky! Choice is a beautiful thing, it allows you to decide and doesnt force you to do anything you dont choose.

In the end, Im pretty sure nobody comes to FTF for porn, if someone thinks that is the case, they are deluded and may need sedating. If you type in Porn in your browser, you will be looking a very long time to find FTF, better put your sunglasses on!

Back to the thread, How many new or re-upped supporting members signed up? Austin? Got any numbers on that? BTW, NOTDKU promised us a while back that an FTF Ball-cap would be coming along soon. Times up on soon! Austin, can you look into this? I would love one, Im proud to be an FTF Member and ready to prove it, we need a cap man! Nothing flashy, just descent quality and able to withstand more than a few de-greasings in the washer. Not sure about the design, either Hunter Red or Woodland Camouflage, could be a logo on a patch, that way you could sell patches for hunting coats, Biker jackets and whatnot. Geterdone, eh?

Approx 30 supporting members, that's new and renewal combined

This is the absolute truth, every gun owner that visit's here is either an opportunity or a loss. Only the opportunities can be measured.

It's a tactic as old as the World, and it's called "Divide & Conquer." If I'm up against a massive force, and I can cut them in half, it's easier to overcome each half. Politicians do this today by pointing out differences and then making us squabble over what amounts to nothing. When gun owners are constantly talking about why they won't join the NRA because of this, that or the other thing, it weakens the largest gun lobby in Washington that is trying to defend our rights. There are plenty of reasons I don't agree 100% with the NRA, but I pony up my membership fee every year for the good work they do provide. I also provide to other organizations that are closer to my beliefs, but I definitely do not want to see the largest 600-pound gorilla in this fight weakened by infighting.

I was seeing a worn denim cap, maybe stressed a bit, with a stylized blue logo that is low-key. Denim is a tribute to the miners who work under the Earth and the farmers that work it. Also, it would be wearable without screaming "Gun Nut!" (Like orange or camo would) In urban areas where most of the membership likely lives or works.

Default Youve been here awhile, why havent you paid for membership?

It's funny this came up, because one of the things a Sponsor could( for both the podcast and the site)do would be T-Shirts or caps for members and pique Polos for the team working at SHOT next January,...
Anyone with a Shirt company wanna sponsor a spot on the Podcast?

Ny SM is about to run out so Im bumping my own thread, I have a new question to add! Why did you choose to pay for your membership here (other than the sticker) and are you planning to re-up?

I will start-
2 years ago, I became a SM because the conversations I had in the Non SM forum were great! If youve watched my posts, you know my biggest areas of participation have not been in the gun sections, I love firearms but cant see myself trying to discuss that which I really dont have a strong opinion of, Im more to each their own when it comes to guns!

Even though I was restricted to the less than controversial section as a non paying member, the banter and sharing was fantastic and unlike other forums I had perused. Additionally, there was a very strong and obvious tight group of SMs that kept the conversations lively at the same time they encouraged us to be one of them to be part of something bigger than the open chat areas! That has been the case for the time Ive been here and thats why I reupped the last time.

Our nations unity and its economy have both tanked in the last few years. The Shining City on the hill is less shiny and slowly sliding down the mountain. Huge trouble and tribulations have reverberated throughout the World, Nation, States and even here at FTF. The conversations get much more heated and often cross the line of due respect and decorum. I think that has not helped us become a stronger force as much as it has diluted our voices.

The mods here have a very onerous task every day when they sign on, keep the conversations flowing at the same time keeping the peace. Walking the fine line daily between righteous response to provocation and level handedness isnt easy and its often perspective driven reactions that have caused a few less than useful hasty condemnation by members and mods.

I love all the new folks that have entered the Forum, they are fresh and give me pause for thought often. That said, they seem to love us older timers for some silly reason and our ability to maintain in tough times must persevere or they likely wont want to be like us. Honestly, FTF without real people attached to it is just one of a million choices on the webz! Its not really my intention to make NOTDKU, Austin or anyone else wealthy by hawking memberships nor could that likely happen (Im not a very good salesman). My sole intention is to encourage the building and rebuilding of bonds and trusts that we need to share with each other as 2a and all other BOR supporters or risk our voices dying to the point that Andy Coumo and Shotgun Joe rue all of our days instead of just unlucky phucks that live in the once and future great state of NY!

My SM runs out in a few weeks, I dont need another sticker, the last one is still sitting where I laid it 11 months ago. I like others dont have extra money (even though 20 bucks isnt a deal breaker). I likely will re-up and hope that others will also, understand that we wont always agree and try to agree to disagree more than fighting amongst ourselves at the same time were fighting the likes of Barry Oh Andy of Albany and his Henchturds!

Webley- I do seem to recall when we first met up- trying to help the young lady with some info about a rather unique Webley-Fosberry she had inherited.

By gosh your correct, thats how I found FTF! Did a search that brought her up with this site. She had had some folks elsewhere offer some ridiculously low price for it. I did some research for her, tracked down the original owner (we think), linked her up with Jack at Cowans auction house and it sold for almost $25K. She sent me a bottle of Gentleman Jack for the information and a bottle of Single Barrel Jack when it sold. She was very nice.

While we were conversing, I got to know some of the folks here and here I stayed!
