Hell yeah, I think you guys should be able to carry rifles and shotguns in your cars. I mean take a look at the North Hollywood bank shootout in L.A.. That shootout would have ended a lot sooner if those cops would have had patrol rifles. I don't know where you work but what would happen if someone can to the place you guard wearing bodyarmor and carrying an AK or something? You would be hopelessly outgunned. Just my thoughts, stay safe.

It's a shame really how security guards are treated. In fact, most "security" personnel aren't there to apprehend criminals, but to be "eyes" to report identities after the fact. They are a deterrent, not because of the force they bring to whatever they are "guarding," but because they are witnesses who can identify criminals at trial.
