The scope recommendation depends on the situation. If that's the only scope he sells, then he's probably just trying to make money on you, but if he sells scopes from a range of 50-500, then he might just be trying to save you some cash.

People who think shooting someone with a .22's, .25's, .32's, and .380's will only piss them off.

People who think that the FBI Penetration standards are meaningless and that .25, .32 and 380 are adequate "self defense calibers."

What did somebody forget to engage their safety and shoot the dogs front teeth out? Or are we blaming that on the Glock shooters?

People who care and argue so much about what other people carry.

I don't think they're near as good as .38 special, 9mm, .45 or whatever your favorite round is. But it's better than nothing at all.

I have seen .25's stop a man dead in his tracks (shot in the upper lip). I have seen several folks shot with small caliber handguns that barely knew they were shot (for several hours).

Hey, if you are happy with "adequate" then more power to you. I carry my full size 10mm on and off duty. "Adequate" is not good enough for me.

I don't plan on carrying any of those calibers myself. My absolute minimum is .38+p's, but I plan on carrying a .45, .357, or something in that neighborhood. But I also don't call my Mamaw a wimp because a .32 S&W Long is the most she's comfortable with. I'm just glad she doesn't have to use the broom stick she stirs her laundry with.

Mamaws are different. Mine can't shoot at all, so she has a 4ft long walking stick, a cane knife, and a can of wasp spray/zippo lighter.

I'd rather be shot than undergo the special treatment my Grannie explained to me was due anybody who came in her house unwelcome.

And she lived in New Orleans for 20 years, so none of it is "just talk." LoL

Mine barely can. She's much more comfortable shooting her S&W 63, Colt Woodsman .22, or Remington 870 Wingmaster .410.
