I do use boom stick when referring to a shotgun just as a nod to ash in army of darkness

That reminds me of the ubiquitous " TV Gun ",,, you know,, the single action or levergun you get out when good western movies are on. Strap on your buscadero rig over your skivvies or bath robe and make sure John Wayne doesn't get ambushed,,, my old reproduction Sharps saved Quigley's ass more than once and my cap and ball Third Model Dragoon, aided Josey Wales out of a tight spot on several movie nights. Everyone should have a couple,, of course the wife gives you a wide berth for such events and the pizza delivery guy really has second thoughts.

my wife would do camo before she would do a pink gun!

if i came home with a pink gun, she would say, "it had better be for me, cause i know you didn't buy it for me!"

I've heard a lot of MIL guys call them "supposed to stick". Kinda funny.

I hate when people base their opinion of a weapon solely on how it looks. We all know the type. They'll take an Olympic AR decked out in UTG stuff over a stock LE6920 any day of the week. Ha!

I have a Colt LE6940, with an ACOG and a sling. And a stock, as issue, SIG P226.

That;s as "tactical" as I intend to get

I hate it when you go onto a "Mom & Pop" LGS in another town with a friend, and he buys a $1500 Sako, then "Pop" hands him a $50 Bushnell, and brags "These babies are just as good as that $150 Tasco in the case.

And "pop" get all pissy when you ask him if he ever personally shot a rifle with a scope.
