Your $10K List: What's On It?

So, I am sure all of our former Military members, and a good percentage of our forum, knows about Soldier of Fortune's Million Dollar List.

If you aren't, here's a brief run down. Basically Soldier of Fortune Magazine was willing to cut you a check for One Million dollars if you could bring them a symbol of Communism, from the source, with proof:

A Cuban cigar from Castro's Humidor on his Desk.

Cavier from inside the Kremlin.

A piece of the Korean Monster Flag from above Proproganda Village.

Basically something from the root of the issue at hand.

So, this got me to thinking, how many of you folks have something that could be traced right to the source? Since it would incrediably arrogant to assume anything I have done is worth $1mil - I have shortened the value down for the sake of the list. :D

Here's a couple of things that are on my list:

I have had both a Mojito AND a Cuba Libre at the Bacadri factory in Puerto Rico. ( Both drinks were created using Bacardi Rum and anything else is an immitation ).

I have had sushi, prepared fresh, In Toyko.

I saw an underground Thai kickboxing match ( an incredible 18 fights ) in a sh!tty little post built and thatch roof outside of Pattaya. Horrible drinks and food - I was sick for a day and a half. Great fights...

So, what are some of yours - I am most curious to hear of some of your experiences....

This is a worthy thread!

No imported German beer compares to the straight from the brewery taste of beer served warm in a German glass in Germany.

Mr.D., or maybe Junho, what was the Korean beer that had the picture of the guy on it, and the story was when he winked at you, you knew you were wasted? Wasn't Soju.

Tel Aviv had so many sins attached to it that dare not be posted in these family friendly pages.

Fruit from street vendors in Panama was exceptionally tasty, or maybe we were just starving, but I've not tasted it's equal.

I've found nothing redeeming in Egypt. At all.

Well, this will reflect poorly on me I am sure... Let's see...

I bought a Teemu Selanne autographed hockey stick while in Canada.

I packed heat illegally at the site of JFK's assassination.

I have monkey wrenched an Earth First's Jeep

I staged a fake kidnapping while serving as a deputy sheriff... just for fun.

I ate chowder in Seattle...and saw the grunge movement take place. Sub Pop!

I witnessed the Vietnam memorial dedication with Ronald Reagan

Yes, I have been nowhere!

One of the sweet things about martial arts as a sport is the concept of the workshop. For a few bucks, you can train with the biggest names. The kid who loves basketball will not likely have the opportunity to get pointers from Michael Jordan, but M.A. guys do workshops all the time.

When I was a kid, the baddest dude around was Bill "Superfoot" Wallace. I patterned my training around what he did. Superfoot injured his right knee, so he did twice as much work on his left leg, with incredible results.

I went to a workshop and trained with him, I learned more in two hours than in years of traditional training.

Not a big deal to most, but getting your a$$ whipped by a childhood hero, and a living legend, tops my personal best.

That's a great story Benning. Definitely worthy of this thread....

Have been in the footprint of Ground Zero at WTC, and at Ground Zero, Trinity (first nuclear weapon)

Met Queen Elizabeth- and Elizabeth Taylor.

Got drunk at Caravelle Hotel in Saigon.

Have little piece of red granite from the Crazy Horse Monument, white marble from Marble CO (Lincoln Memorial).

And one morning at a hotel in DC, struck up conversation w/ older Hawaiian gent sitting in lobby. He introduced me to 10 of his friends from WW II that were there. They were waiting for the motorcade to take them to the White House. The 11 of them were recieving the Medal of Honor that morning.
